About Us

Pulmolink was established in 1990 to distribute and support cardio-respiratory testing and monitoring equipment into the UK market.

The two key manufacturers, whose product ranges Pulmolink initially introduced into the UK, were:
Medisoft s.a. of Dinant, Belgium - designers and manufacturers of Cardio Pulmonary Function Test Systems.

Biochem International (best known as BCI Inc.) now a division of Smiths Medical ASD Inc. of St. Paul, Minnesota, USA - designers and manufacturers of Patient Monitoring equipment.

The success of these two brands enabled Pulmolink's modest and prudent expansion for over 20 years, culminating in being awarded the UK respiratory community's prestigious "ARTP Manufacturer of the Year Award" in 2011.

During that time, Pulmolink's reputation and status as an independent repiratory equipment and accessory supplier grew as an effective response to the changing needs of our valued customers; providing a broader selection of carefully selected products and services from other key global manufacturers to complement the original product portfolio.

As the anniversary of 20 years as Medisoft’s UK Distributor approached in 2010, the Senior Directors of Pulmolink took various steps to put in place a mechanism by which they could retire from the Lung Function equipment market whilst ensuring continued high levels of support for their many valued customers.

As a result, in February 2011, Pulmolink, Vitalograph Ltd. and Medisoft s.a. were delighted to be able to announce that an agreement had been reached to secure the future product distribution and on-going service support of Medisoft Pulmonary Function Testing Instruments in the United Kingdom.

To that end, as of THURSDAY 31ST MARCH 2011, Pulmolink’s role as UK Distributor for Medisoft came to an end with both parties proud to look back on an extremely successful partnership spanning over 2 decades.

To ensure as seamless a transition as possible, Medisoft s.a. appointed Vitalograph Ltd as their new UK distributor with effect from FRIDAY 1ST APRIL 2011.

From the outset, all three parties were determined to ensure that UK customers experienced minimal disruption in the supply of new MEDISOFT equipment and consumables or in the service and support of existing MEDISOFT systems.

In order to facilitate this, Pulmolink and Medisoft assisted Vitalograph with training of their team of engineers and administrative staff.

Furthermore, two key members of Pulmolink’s team transferred to Vitalograph’s employment from early April 2011 to help ensure continuity of customer care; primarily with respect to sales and servicing.

With regard to any existing preventative maintenance agreements held with Pulmolink at the handover date, the responsibility for fulfilling the unexpired portion of the term was transferred to Vitalograph on a “sub-contracted basis” with the majority of any subsequent service visits being performed by the same engineer as usual wherever possible.

This, in turn, allowed an effective response to the changing needs of our valued customers and provided a broader selection of carefully selected products and services from other key worldwide manufacturers, which complement the existing portfolio.

Medisoft made public their thanks to Pulmolink for all their support as their longest serving distributor and wished the senior directors the very best for their retirement.

Pulmolink would like to reiterate how pleased they are that a company of Vitalograph’s reputation and stature took over the Medisoft “baton” and wish them every success for the future.

We would also like to thank our many customers for all their business and loyalty over the last 2 decades.

Please note that ALL Pulmolink’s other product lines will continue to be supplied and supported as usual since they remain unaffected by the above changes.
