The unit can be operated for up to six hours, using the user-accessible rechargeable battery. The mains charger base can recharge the battery in less than 1.5 hours. For regular or long distance transport applications, a spare battery (part number 8408) may be a useful purchase.

For mains powered use, an additional separate 'battery eliminator' (part number 8406) should be purchased, offering convenient long term stationary monitoring.

There are three standard "packages" available for on-line purchase.... this package for battery use only, the 8400 "E" package for mains use only or the 8400 "DP" with both mains and battery power options.

Alternative custom combinations can be provided if required. Furthermore, SAC™ technology, digital signal processing pulse oximetry is available as an option, instead of traditional oximetry, at extra cost. Ref. No. = 8400D
