This is a robust and extremely durable oximeter; clearly designed with the challenges of outdoor use in all weathers firmly in mind, as well as those demanding environments where rough handling is anticipated.

*The rating of IPX-1 means it is "Protected against condensation or dripping water falling vertically"; so whilst it isn’t expected to be waterproof enough to survive being dropped into floodwater or a patient’s bath, we can see why this oximeter is very popular with our Paramedic, Military and Search & Rescue customers who need reliable oximetry, even during inclement weather...

It also has a more rugged, impact absorbing design than many of its competitors, plus an innovative, sliding/hinged battery compartment cover to stop it becoming detached or lost.

The soft silicone sleeve design completely surrounds the finger avoiding potential problems of ambient light interference, yet it remains lightweight and very comfortable to wear.
