Frequently Asked Questions

Do your prices include VAT? 

Yes, they do. All the prices on our website are inclusive of VAT.

Do your prices include delivery? 

No, they do not. The cost of delivery is based on the cost of your order and which delivery option you choose and is calculated at checkout.

I have a shipping address that is outside the UK, can I still make a purchase? 

No, unfortunately not. We only sell to customers with a shipping address that is in the UK (for clarity, we include the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and the Scottish Highlands and Islands as part of the UK). 

I have/am buying for someone with a disability, do your products qualify for VAT exemption?

No, I’m afraid not. According to HMRC’s published guidance, VAT relief is only available on certain goods. Unfortunately, Pulse Oximeters and their accessories do not meet the HM Revenue & Customs requirements for zero rating for VAT purposes as they were not "designed by the manufacturer solely for use by disabled people". They are intended to be used by many other people, such as doctors, nurses, dentists, paramedics, mountaineers, aviators and athletes and as such do not qualify for VAT exemption.

Can I come to your office to make a purchase? 

We are not a retail location and, as such, we can not accommodate personal callers.

So can I buy from your website and come and collect the item? 

No, personal collection is NOT available.

I would like further information/have a question on a product you sell? 

No problem, please either call or email us and we will do our best to assist.

I’ve looked at the pulse oximeters on your website and I’m not sure which one is right for me ... 

Our experienced staff are happy to help and advise. They will discuss your needs and recommend the device that is right for you, not the one that’s most expensive!

Are your products CE marked? 

Yes, they are (we would not be allowed to sell them if they were not). All our medical devices are CE Marked and conform to Council Directive 93/42/EEC concerning Medical Devices.

Are your Pulse Oximeters "NHS Approved"? 

There is no such things as "NHS approved". The health service (NHS) is a governmental organisation and doesn't lend it name to any products.  

What are your office opening hours? 

We are open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (excluding English bank holidays and Christmas to New Year shut down).

Can I call you? 

Yes, our phone number is 01275 868182. We are always happy to talk to our customers. Our phone lines are open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. If all lines are busy or you call outside of office hours, please just leave a voicemail and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Can I email you? 

Certainly! Please use this contact form.

Why can't I just have your email address? 

Unfortunately, if we put our email address on here, the spammers get hold of it and clog our inbox with junk mail. 

Can I fax you? 

Sorry, no we no longer have a fax machine.

Do you recycle? 

Yes, we do. All of our office waste that can be recycled is. We also reuse packaging materials, where possible, and send small and medium sized orders out in bags made from low density polyethylene, that's 100% recyclable. Large orders are sent out in appropriate sized cardboard boxes which are, again 100% recyclable. 

Can I return items to you for recycling?  

For hygiene and disease prevention reasons, this is just not possible. However, we would encourage you to check with your local council and recycle wherever possible.
